DESCRIPTION
The Philips Patient Care Network provides connectivity for multiple Information Centers (PIIC) and Client Workstations across multiple Care Units, as well as offering web access to patient data. This course is designed to provide the Biomedical Professional with the tools needed to diagnose system failures and minimize network downtime. Students learn how to configure the Database Server and Network Switches, add Care Units to the network, and restore Information Center and Client software in the network environment. Network Architecture is addressed, including 10BaseT, 100BaseT and 100BaseFX Standards. Students also review IP Addressing and Subnet Masking within the TCP/IP Protocol, as applied in Microsoft Networking. This class is held at the Cleveland Training Center ONLY!
